- Why do we need to continue building this momentum for peace in the Korean Peninsula? It is because this division and military confrontation represents not only the conflicts between South and North Korea, but also symbolizes the legacy of the Cold War which requires attention and cooperation from the international community to be solved.
Thus, we need to go further than just stopping the military confrontations in Korea and achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the Korean Peninsula and the world by suggesting new perspectives and acting on the common goals for peace. This session brings together the Peace Makers around the world who are committed to building peace in many regions suffering from conflicts and disputes and talks about the peace building
efforts in the Korean Peninsula as well as the challenges for making peace in the global community. The global leaders in Peace Making will share their experiences and discuss common endeavors to sustain this momentum for peace around the globe.
