Peace on the Korean Peninsula, Role of ODA and Public Diplomacy

- The Session aims at assessing the peace process on the Korean peninsula since the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics and looking for ways of promoting peace beyond the Korean peninsula in terms of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) and public diplomacy.
The Session is also expected to discuss the future of the PyeongChang Peace Forum (PPF) in terms of the agenda for action contributing to the sustainable peace building on the Korean peninsular and Northeast Asia. The outcome of the Session will be incorporated into the PyeongChang Agenda for Peace (PCAP) 2030.

- KAPD is an academic association of scholars and practitioners engaged in public diplomacy in Korea established in July 2020. It aims at promoting academic exchange and research as well as advocacy with the government in the fields of culture and knowledge as well as public goods such as peace, environment, human rights and democracy. It has about 150 members and Dr. Kisuk Cho, Professor of the Ewha Womans University was elected as the first president.
