Continuing our dialogue from a joint-World Economic Forum and Jeju Forum panel on the Gangwon region, Choson Exchange and policymakers and residents from Gangwon region in South Korea will discuss South Korean and North Korean perspectives on the economic development of this crucial area. We will discuss how both Koreas envision the future of this region, and what can be done to move us closer to fulfilling the potential of this region. This discussion will build on Choson Exchange’s Kangwon Development Initiative (www.KangwonKorea.com), which is a multi-year knowledge exchange initiative that seeks to understand economic changes on North Korea’s east coast, and how to encourage positive trends.
