Also, local civil societies working at the community level plays significant roles to ensure a just and equitable response to the global crisis, especially COVID19 pandemic. Therefore, this session’s another focal point is what the local civil societies’ expected role is in this pandemic situation as well as what their challenges and lessons learnt from the field are. Furthermore, this session aims to share valuable opinions and insights on the necessity and possibility to develop cooperation between Korean- and local civil societies in the community in developing countries, and if so, the ways to enhance their synergy effects with partnership of KOICA (triangular partnership) is also expected to be explored in this session.
By doing discussion the above, the main purpose of this session is to find the key challenges and opportunities for SDG16 that we face at this moment and then find the directions towards moving from response to resilience against COVID19.
