Information
Through climate change, African Swine Fever, Avian Influenza Virus, and the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we are able to realize that North and South Korea are ecological and living communities that cannot be separated. Therefore, this session will discuss the possibility for joint response among the two Koreas and cooperation with the international community to comprehensively consider climate technology, environmental resources, and environmental regime.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF), founded in 1967, is a German political foundation, close to the Christian Social Union in Bavaria, providing political education “in the Service of Democracy, Peace and Development” in Germany and abroad. For more than 30 years, HSF Korea has supported the process of reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula. This includes sharing the German experiment of division and reunification, sustainable regional development, in which border region is especially focused upon.
